Ticks and Lyme disease in Scotland – A Public Survey 2012

Do you live in Scotland and participate regularly in outdoor activities for work or leisure?

Do you have a few minutes to complete a simple online survey?

We are Xeroshield, an Edinburgh-based life sciences company specialising in innovative methods of insect control.

We  are currently undertaking a proof of market study with a view to developing an innovative device for the removal of ticks from humans and pets, combined with a laboratory service for the detection of the Lyme disease parasite in ticks collected and immobilised using the device.

We also hope to collect data about general awareness of ticks and Lyme disease in Scotland, particularly amongst groups at higher risk of exposure to the disease, such as those engaged in outdoor leisure activities or working in outdoor rural occupations.
